Do you know that God, our Heavenly Father and Creator, loves you—no matter who you are, no matter the state of your past or personal circumstances? You are not alone, for the Bible tells us that “… all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:23-24). God loves you so much that He gave His one and only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, for you! The Bible promises us that “… whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). No one likes to think about death, but it still comes to everyone, “as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). No one will have an excuse, for “in the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now He commands all people everywhere to repent. For He has set a day when He will judge the world with justice by the Man He has appointed (Jesus Christ). God has given proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead” (Acts 17:30-31).

Jesus laid down His life and rose again so that we could spend eternity with Him in heaven and experience His love, mercy, and saving grace on Earth. God’s promise is simply for you to “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved…” (Acts 16:31). If you would like to receive Jesus into your life, say the following prayer out loud and mean it from your heart:

Heavenly Father, I come to You admitting that I am a sinner. Right now, I choose to repent and turn away from my sins, and I ask You to cleanse me of all unrighteousness. I believe that Your Son, Jesus, died on the cross to take away my sins. I also believe that He rose again from the dead so that I might be forgiven of my sins and made righteous through faith in Him.

Lord Jesus Christ, I call upon Your name; please be the Savior and Lord of my life. Jesus, I choose to follow You and ask that You fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit. Please forgive me of my sins and help me to forgive others as You forgive. I thank you Lord for washing me clean with the blood of Jesus Christ. I thank you Lord for creating in me a clean heart and renewing a right spirit within me, a spirit that will worship you, glorify you, and serve you as I live. I thank You that I am saved in the name of Jesus Christ! Amen.

If you prayed this prayer to receive Jesus as your Savior for the first time, ask the Lord to lead you into a Church that upholds the whole Bible and request for water baptism. In the meantime, to build and maintain a strong, healthy relationship with the Lord, please pray faithfully and study your Bible every day, obey His commands (John 14:15; 1 John 5:3), and share with others this Good News of salvation (Matthew 28:16-20).
